Brighton are appealing some of the events and decision-making involved in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16 with Roma.

Today’s edition of Il Romanista confirms The Athletic‘s news report from a few days ago: Brighton have come forward and asked UEFA to investigate two decisive instances in the match that took place at the Stadio Olimpico a few days ago.

The news portal suggests that during the match played last Thursday, a UEFA delegate would have seen the home fans throwing objects at Brighton supporters. An investigation was therefore also launched for the blocking of public passages and the lighting of fireworks.

Moreover, Brighton have specifically asked UEFA to review the VAR process that led to the decision to approve of Gianluca Mancini’s goal which in their opinion was offside.
