Brighton goalkeeper Bart Vertbruggen spoke ahead of Thursday night’s return leg of the Europa League Round of 16 with Roma.

In an interview with Brighton’s official website, Vertbruggen said his side had nothing to lose in the return leg after suffering a 4-0 defeat in the first outing at the Stadio Olimpico.

“Last week we were down in spirits,” said Vertbruggen. “But after the match it’s normal.”

“We had just lost 4-0 and we know what was at stake. But, in my opinion, it was only for 24 hours and after that we were completely focused on this game against Forest and even though we talked about the game against Roma we are all full of confidence that we can turn things around.”

“We have nothing to lose, we have all the conviction, we will give our all and win 5-0,” he concluded.
