Brighton defender Joel Veltman spoke with anticipation about tomorrow night’s first leg of the Europa League Round of 16 with Roma.
Veltman, along with the rest of Roberto De Zerbi’s squad, will face Roma in a packed Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
In an interview with calciomercato.it, Veltman previewed the match.
“It’s a great match for us,” he said. “We will face a historic team of European football in a beautiful stadium with over 60,000 fans waiting for us.”
“We know how difficult it will be, but we can’t wait. We focused on the Premier League and FA Cup matches, but we have been studying Roma since Monday. We analyzed their tactics and what we can do to secure qualification. We try to dominate possession in all matches, this is De Zerbi’s mentality regardless of the opponent.”
“We know, however, that we will have to be ready when not in possession, because Roma can be very dangerous. We know Lukaku from his time at Chelsea and Manchester United, he is obviously a threat. But Roma, as I said, has many quality players.”
