Italian manager Roberto De Zerbi was recently asked about transfer rumours linking out-of-favor attacker Nicolo Zaniolo with several Premier League clubs such as Tottenham, Bournemouth, Leeds and De Zerbi’s own side – Brighton.
The Brighton coach denied these rumors in an interview with DAZN.
“We never took Zaniolo into consideration,” said De Zerbi. “He’s a very strong player and age-wise he’d be eligible to join our side as Brighton look for younger players with high resale value.”
“However, Zaniolo is financially out of reach for us,” he clarified.
