Bruno Peres has officially left Roma to join Trabzonspor on a free transfer.

The Brazilian touched down in Trabzon this evening, along with former Roma attacker Gervinho, ahead of his medical examination tomorrow with the club.

Peres will sign a three-year deal with the Turkish side worth €1.5 million (net) plus bonuses per season – a figure similar to what he earned with Roma.

The defender was hoping to remain with the Giallorossi and sign a contract renewal. However, Roma executive TIago Pinto had no interest in keeping the 31 year-old and was content in allowing to leave for free.

He departs the Italian capital after five seasons. He originally joined from Torino in the summer 2016 for nearly €15 million, however, he struggled with inconsistent performances and was widely considered a disappointment.
