RomaPress – After nearly five years and over 100 appearances, Bruno Peres is nearing an exit from Roma. The Brazilian’s contract expires on June 30th and all signs point to him departing the Italian capital at season’s end.
A member of the player’s entourage confirmed today that the club has not presented them with a new contract offer.
“He (Tiago Pinto) didn’t call to renew his deal,” they said exclusively today to RomaPress.
“Bruno prefers and wants to stay, of course, but it totally depends on Roma.”
Peres was hoping to ink a new contract with the Giallorossi after showing improvement under manager Paulo Fonseca. He returned to the club in January 2020 from a loan spell in Brazil and fit in well under the Portuguese tactician.
However, the January arrival of American right back Bryan Reynolds was a clear sign from Roma that they’re ready to move on from Peres.
