Roma wide-man Bruno Peres was interviewed in today’s edition of TuttoSport, here are his words:
From Torino to Roma, two completely different realities.
Between the two, the one that looks more like São Paulo (his birthplace) is certainly Rome. It’s a bit’ chaotic, there is traffic, a few too many holes in the streets, but the people are welcoming, I like that. The Romans are similar to Brazilians. Of course, going out is not easy, it’s a different place from Turin, where I still had a great time.
Have we still not seen the Torino version of Bruno Peres at Roma?
Sometimes I ask myself that. I am the first to know that I still have so much more to give. Here it is more difficult, there is more pressure. Spalletti is helping me a lot and soon I’ll be back to the Torino Bruno.
Is the Scudetto decided?
No, there are still many matches left. It is difficult but not impossible. We are growing.
Torino teammate you miss the most?
In Torino, I was always with Amauri and Martinez. Amauri was like a father or an older brother. Me, Martinez, Amauri, Maxi Lopez, Avelar, Gaston Silva and Jansson, we had a lot of fun together.
Are you close with anyone particular at Roma?
Emerson and Gerson. Then there’s Alisson but lately I’ve also spent a lot of time with Mario Rui, Juan Jesus, and Rüdiger.
The negotiations with Roma?
After I renewed, president Cairo said: “As we did with Darmian, we will act and do the same with you.” Meaning if something good for me was offered, it would be taken into account. I never asked to leave, it’s simply that I had this opportunity. It’s clear that when I heard about the chance (with Roma), I was happy. In Torino I had a great time, I thank you all, but Roma was a possibility of professional growth that I could not pass up.
In the final question, you have the chance to bet on Rome in one of their three competitions, which would you choose?
On all three. We won’t leave anything in the road.
