Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante tried to look at the positives following tonight’s heartbreaking loss in the Europa League final.

The club vice-captain spoke to Sky Sport at full-time and addressed his side’s morale.

“It’s always hard when you lose on penalties. The disappointment will last for a while, but then we must get started again.”

“I think this is still a great group, and that we have done something great with two consecutive finals. We didn’t get here by chance. We should still be proud of ourselves.”

“This season we were hit by injuries during a very difficult stretch. This complicated our ability to play in two competitions at once. I think that the coach refers to potentially having a deeper roster in order to be ready for such difficult moments during a season.”
