Bryan Cristante considered ‘untouchable’ by Mourinho

Andy Mattioli

Once upon a time, Daniele De Rossi said “I would like to have a hundred players like Cristante because he gives everything he’s got like a true Romanista.”

Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante continues to grow as one of the team’s main leaders alongside Lorenzo Pellegrini and Gianluca Mancini.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the 26-year-old is considered by Mourinho an ‘untouchable’ presence in the middle of the pitch.

So far this season he’s started 9 out of 10 games, the exception being Empoli where he came off the bench.

He hasn’t been substituted thus far by The Special One who likes the way Cristante adds balance in the middle of the pitch, providing additional defensive coverage for the team’s center-backs and pushing the ball forward when in possession.

The player had reportedly drawn interest from Milan during the summer transfer window, but Roma rejected all approaches.

All signs point to Cristante staying at Roma for years to come, reinforcing his status of a team leader.
