Bryan Cristante braved through an injury in Roma’s most recent weekend fixture with Udinese.
Despite missing a penalty to give Roma the lead, Cristante proved to be one of the best performers of the night.
Following the victory it was revealed that the Italian midfielder insisted on playing even after suffering a strong blow to the head in an aerial duel early on in the first half of the match.
With a visible bandage wrapped around his head, Cristante played through the injury despite the medical staff’s objections, reports Corriere dello Sport.
His status is still questionable as the Giallorossi edge closer to the crucial return leg with Feyenoord in the Europa League quarterfinal.
