Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante continues to be a point of reference for Jose Mourinho’s team.
Having played 900 minutes already this season, Cristante – thanks to his versatility and adaptability to the needs of the team – could break into Roma’s glorious Top 10 list of players with most appearances made for the capital club, suggests Il Messaggero.
With his current contract set to expire in 2027 and playing on average 50 games per season over the last two years, Cristante may be nearing such club legends as Franco Tancredi, Sebino Nela and Bruno Conti.
In recent weeks, Cristante was once again deployed as a centreback in Mourinho’s three-man backline in light of Chris Smalling and Diego Llorente’s injuries.
So far, he is the only player to have featured in every single match for Roma in this year’s campaign.
Since his arrival in the summer of 2018, Cristante has collected 238 appearances for the Giallorossi, with 13 goals and 16 assists to his name.
