Roma are expected to announce Bryan Cristante’s renewal in the coming weeks.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cristante has already penned another long-term contract with the capital club until 2027 worth €2.8 million per season.

The decision was taken by the club’s top management upon Jose Mourinho’s indication: the Special One cannot do without the versatile midfielder and pushed for the renewal to take place as soon as possible.

Since joining Roma in the summer of 2018, Cristante has collected a total of 196 appearances with the Giallorossi, averaging almost 43 games each season.

The Italian newspaper informs that if Cristante were to continue on this path, the 27-year-old could break through the capital club’s Top 10 leaders in terms of matches played, nearing a grand total of 400 appearances.
