Bryan Cristante praised Romelu Lukaku for scoring the decisive goal in tonight’s victory with Sheriff Tiraspol.
Cristante provided Lukaku with an assist which led to Roma’s second goal of the night, sealing the win in the Giallorossi’s favor.
In his post-match interview with Sky Sport, Cristante said, “We didn’t start the match strong. They were better than us in the opening minutes but then obviously they slowed the pace and intensity.”
“That’s when we came in an played a good second half,” he added.
“Lukaku? He’s strong, we know it. Attackers like him make you win games. We know he makes the difference, the most difficult thing is always scoring goals and when you have center forwards like that it’s easier. He is very strong mentally, he wants to make a difference for this team.”
