Former Roma defender and Boca Juniors sporting director, Nicolas Burdisso, was interviewed by calciomercato.com and admitted he was contacted by the Giallorossi following the sacking of Gianluca Petrachi.
“I had contact with the old owners after the divorce with Petrachi,” the Argentine revealed.
”However since the new owners arrived, I have not heard from anyone”.
Burdisso has been tabbed as one of the potential candidates to be appointed by Dan Friedkin, Roma’s new owner, as the club’s new sporting director.
Inter’s Piero Ausilio and Juve’s Fabio Paratici have also been linked to the role, however, they appear to be remaining at their current clubs.
