Eldor Shomurodov has picked up form during the latter stages of his loan at Cagliari.

The Uzbeki striker has been steadily finding his way into Claudio Ranieri’s starting eleven and has recorded so far 3 goals and 3 assists in 18 Serie A appearances for the Sardinian side.

According to Unione Sarda, Shomurodov is now likely to land a permanent position in Cagliari’s roster.

The newspaper claims Cagliari have grown increasingly convinced of the player’s efficiency and workrate and are considering the possibility of activating the buy option in his current loan deal from Roma.

The option is worth €10 million and could be activated within the end of the season.
