Cagliari are desperately trying to avoid relegation and the January transfer window may help strengthen Mazzarri’s roster.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Cagliari have grown interested in out-of-favour Roma attacker Borja Mayoral.
Mayoral is considered the right kind of profile to deepen Mazzarri’s attack.
It remains to be seen whether Mayoral would agree to fight to avoid relegation, and more importantly, whether Jose Mourinho would be ready to part ways with his third-choice striker.
