Cagliari eye Castan deal, Monchi wants to discuss Barella

La Nuova Sardegna have reported that Roma and Cagliari could potentially be doing business this summer. Reportedly, the Rossoblù were convinced by the performances of Roma’s Leandro Castan, who joined the club on loan in January, and they would like to begin negotiations with the Giallorossi for the defender. Monchi has opened the door for talks, but he also wants to discuss midfielder Nicolò Barella, the highly rated talent of the Sardinian midfield. Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini would like to keep the youngster for one more year, but if anyone is ready to pay €35 million for Barella then he will let him leave immediately.
