RomaPress – Brazilian fullback Bruno Peres is a near certainty to remain at Roma for the remainder of this season.
The 30 year-old has been linked with a host of clubs throughout the past few weeks and was also offered by several intermediaries to various Serie A sides.
Whispers even emerged earlier today that Cagliari were pushing to acquire Peres from the Giallorossi before the close of the transfer window on Monday. However, a member of the defender’s entourage quickly dismissed these rumors to RomaPress and admitted that they haven’t been contacted by the Isolani.
The former Torino man has made it clear throughout the summer that he wants to remain in Rome even though his contract will expire next June. Peres would prefer to sign a contract renewal with the club, but as of now there are no indications that Roma are open to this solution.
