Cagliari manager Rolando Maran insisted that Roma were not robbed of a goal during an interview today with Radio Anch’io Lo Sport. There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the episode involving Nikola Kalinic and Cagliari defender Fabio Pisacane: the Croatian scored a last-minute winner for the Giallorossi, however, he was ultimately whistled for a foul and the goal was disallowed.
“I really don’t think it was a disallowed goal. The referee immediately indicated that it was a foul — the situation was clear. It wasn’t a legal goal,” claimed the Rossoblu boss.
Both Gianluca Petrachi, Roma sporting director, and James Pallotta, the Giallorossi’s president, have been extremely outspoken over the last 24 hours in regards to the refereeing decisions that have gone against Roma’s away in recent matches.
