Cagliari have manifested interested in Roma defender Marash Kumbulla.
The Albanian centreback seems destined to depart the capital club on loan until the end of the season in search of more playing time.
Several clubs have approached Roma but showed hesitancy with regards to Kumbulla’s fitness levels due to his recent recovery from an ACL injury.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cagliari have emerged as the leading suitors for Kumbulla.
The club from Sardinia are in fact seeking an additional defender to further strengthen Claudio Ranieri’s backline and Kumbulla seems to be a good fit for them.
On the other hand, Cagliari are also intent on interrupting Eldor Shomurodov’s loan stint and sending him back to Roma.
The newspaper suggests that the two clubs are negotiating on both fronts.
