Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini was interviewed today by La Gazzetta dello Sport and was asked about goalkeeper Robin Olsen.
The Swede joined Cagliari in the summer on loan from Roma after a nightmare 2018/2019 campaign with the Giallorossi. The ex-Copenhagen man has been thriving in Sardegna and has helped propel Rolando Maran’s side to third place in the league table.
“I knew of Olsen (before he joined), he’s well-known internationally,” said Giulini.
”He was good during the first half of last season but he had to replace a monster like Alisson, who’s a top-three goalkeeper in the world today. At the first mistake, they started to crucify him. Robin is a great goalkeeper and he immediately understood that he would have a great chance of redemption here”.
