Cagliari pushing for Juan Jesus, trying to find agreement with Roma

Cagliari is focused on acquiring Roma defender Juan Jesus.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Sardinians and the Giallorossi are at work to find a definitive agreement for the Brazilian, who still has a year left on his contract. Cagliari boss Eusebio Di Francesco is a great admirer of the former Inter man, who he is keen to reunite with at his new club.

Parma is also interested in the defender — but this was based on the recommendation of former sporting director Daniele Faggiano, who was recently appointed as the new sporting director at Genoa. Because of this, an approach from Il Grifone cannot be ruled out.

Nonetheless, Cagliari remains in the lead in the race for Juan Jesus.
