Calafiori celebrates first senior goal as Roma win in Europa League

Roma defender Riccardo Calafiori appeared on Sky Sport after he scored his first senior goal for the the Giallorossi in their 3-1 victory in the Europa League this evening over BSC Young Boys.

The Italian left back was all smiles at full time as he bagged his first goal for the club after having suffered successive ACL tears in 2018 and 2019.

“It’s difficult to imagine a more beautiful first goal,” admitted the 18 year-old.

”It’s a unique feeling — though, it would have been better with the supporters here. Nonetheless, I’m very happy.”

“These past two years have been the most difficult yet greatest periods of my life. I managed to overcome some difficulties and made my dream come true. I completed one chapter and started a new one, and I hope to continue on this path.”
