Calafiori returns to training after COVID bout, Spinazzola expected to be ready for Parma clash

Roma boss Paulo Fonseca was handed a boost today as left back Riccardo Calafiori returned to training.

The highly rated youngster was unavailable for the past month after having tested positive for COVID-19 on the 17th of October. Calafiori was limited to training individually today but he is expected to return to full training with his teammates in the coming days. Barring any setbacks or delays in his return to fitness, it’s likely he will be called-up for next weekend’s league fixture against Parma.

Meanwhile, the Giallorossi were able to breathe a sigh of relief regarding Leonardo Spinazzola. Sky Sport has reported that the Italian international will also be available for the match against Parma despite having suffered a muscle injury in his thigh during Sunday’s victory over Genoa — an injury that forced him to leave the match after 15 minutes.
