Calafiori tests positive for COVID-19

Following the news earlier this week that Roma’s Amadou Diawara has tested positive for COVID-19, the Giallorossi’s Riccardo Calafiori announced that he has also tested positive for the virus.

The young left back revealed the news on his Instagram profile this evening as he will now be unavailable for Roma in their upcoming fixtures

“Hi everyone — unfortunately I tested positive for COVID-19 and now I will have to observe the quarantine period,” he wrote.

“Nevertheless, I want to reassure my friends and those who follow me that thankfully I feel good and I can’t wait to get back on the pitch!”

”In the meantime, I’ll be supporting the team from home for the next few matches.”

Calafiori marks the sixth senior player at the club to test positive for COVID-19 over the past two months.
