Given that Roma are looking to strengthen their defense by finding a reliable substitute to Rick Karsdorp, the rumors keep piling with new names emerging every day.
This time around, Corriere dello Sport reports that Arsenal defender Calum Chambers has been offered to Roma.
Chambers hasn’t been able to climb in the Gunners’ hierarchy and is thus linked with an exit in the January transfer window.
The English defender was reportedly offered to the Giallorossi by a number of intermediaries who are working to secure a transfer for the 26-year-old whose contract is set to expire in June 2022.
Roma have declined this offer as they do not think Chambers’ profile fits the club’s project.
