Former Inter midfielder and current Italian television football pundit Esteban Cambiasso gave his thoughts ahead of tonight’s Europa League final between Roma and Sevilla.
The Argentinian believes there hasn’t been enough discussion regarding the Giallorossi’s squad, with too many fixated on making tonight’s showdown a battle between Jose Mourinho versus Sevilla, who have a perfect record in Europa League final games.
“Roma won a European cup final last year yet nobody talks about it,” he told calciomercato.it.
“We can’t just talk about tonight being a battle between Sevilla and Mourinho in their supremacy for silverware. I think it’s going to be a very tactical game between these two teams.”
He added, “As for Dybala, we don’t have a ton of information, only speculation as to whether or not he’ll start. We know what he’s capable of so the hope is he’ll be able to play as much as possible.”
“Mourinho’s future? I obviously know him well but he and I haven’t talked about it. I don’t know whether he’ll leave Roma or not but I don’t think his future at the club hinges on tonight’s result.”
