Former Milan and Roma boss Fabio Capello caused an uproar earlier this week when he urged Inter’s Sebastiano Esposito not to follow on the footsteps of Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo. Tonight, though, during the broadcast of Sky Calcio Club, the 73 year-old backpedaled and blamed the episode on his words simply being misunderstood.
”My words on Zaniolo have been misunderstood by those In Rome”, he said. “I’m happy that he scored, though, it’s a pity he did so against Milan”.
