Carles Pérez drawing interest from Bundesliga, summer exit possible

Carles Perez of AS Roma

Things haven’t gone according to plan at Roma for Carles Pérez since he joined the club in January 2020 from Barcelona.

The Spaniard left his boyhood club in search of more playing time and ultimately moved to the Giallorossi for a total cost of €12 million. Since arriving in Italy, though, he hasn’t been able to consistently break into the team’s starting eleven.

Despite a decent tally of 7 goals and 7 assists in 69 appearances in all competitions, Pérez has only started 12 matches in total.

As a result, a summer exit is likely on the table with the Bundesliga becoming a potential landing spot. In fact, Fabrizio Romano reports multiple German clubs have expressed interest in acquiring the attacker when the transfer window reopens this summer.
