Carles Pérez returns to full training

Roma attacker Carles Perez at training

Roma boss José Mourinho received a big boost with less than 48 hours remaining until his team’s pivotal league showdown against Atalanta.

Spanish attacker Carles Pérez returned to full training for the first time in nearly two weeks after recovering from a muscular injury. Barring any setbacks, the former Barca man will be called-up for this weekend’s affair and at the disposal of Mourinho.

Meanwhile, central defenders Chris Smalling and Roger Ibañez were both limited to individual work during today’s training session after both suffered knocks in last weekend’s victory over Spezia.

It remains to be seen if the pair will face Atalanta, but the Giallorossi remain hopeful that at least one of them can completely recover.
