Former assistant of Carlo Ancelotti, Giorgio Ciaschini – who famously collaborated with Ancelotti during the technician’s years with Milan – recently admitted that his dream had always been to return to Roma as a manager.

In a recent interview with calciomercato.it, Ciaschini said, “In the past, Ancelotti had the opportunity to become Italy’s manager but I don’t think that was his objective at the time.”

“Roma? Right now they have a great coach. I remember talking with Ancelotti about this and it clearly was one of his biggest dreams to coach Roma. We talked about it many times.”

“He was born and grew up with Roma in his heart, so in a way, I can imagine Mourinho taking the job with Brazil, and Ancelotti joining Roma. But these are just ideas… They’re both doing very well with their respective teams.”
