Speaking at his club’s shareholders meeting, José Castro, the president of Sevilla, mentioned the departure of current Roma sporting director, Monchi. These are his words via El Decano Deportivo:
“Last year, we had a good transfer market campaign, especially with our purchases, even despite the rumors about Monchi’s departure. I did everything possible to get him to stay here at Sevilla, but he decided otherwise. He deserved to be satisfied.”
