Out-of-favor Roma midfielder Gonzalo Villar continues being linked with a return to Spain after his recent stint with Getafe.
This time around Villar has fallen on the radar of Celta Viga, who have approached Roma to inquire about the 24-year-old’s availability, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Giallorossi are expected to reiterate their intent to permanently off-load the ex-Elche man as the player doesn’t fit Mourinho’s plans going forward.
A few days ago the club made the decision to exclude Villar from preseason training. The midfielder will train separately at Trigoria and will not travel with the rest of the team to Portugal.
Sampdoria, Bologna and Monza are also interested in the young Spaniard, but so far Roma haven’t received any satisfying proposal.
