Celtic pressing for Roma’s Robin Olsen

Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen has been placed on the transfer market by the Giallorossi following his loan spell this season at Cagliari.

Sky Sport reports that Celtic is pressing to acquire the Swedish international from Roma, who paid €8.5 million plus €3.5 million in bonuses to Copenhagen for the goalkeeper in the summer of 2018.

The Swede had a nightmare campaign for the Giallorossi in 2018/2019 after he was tabbed to replace Brazilian sensation Alisson, who left for Liverpool.

Upon his arrival last summer, one of the first priorities of newly appointed Roma manager Paulo Fonseca was finding a new shot-stopper for the team — as the club ultimately purchased Spaniard Pau Lopez from Real Betis.
