Cengiz Ünder happy with his time at Marseille

Former Roma forward Cengiz Ünder, currently on loan (with obligation) at Olympique de Marseille in Ligue 1, addressed the media ahead of Marseille’s Europa League clash against Galatasaray.

The Turkish winger commented on his decision to join OM from Roma:

“My transfer from Roma to OM was made possible thanks to the intervention of the coach and President Longoria who insisted on the deal being made.”

“It may have been one of the best decisions of my career so far. I want to give even more than I have done now and help the team reach the top.”

Ünder joined Marseille earlier in the summer for an initial loan deal of €500,000.

The Ligue 1 side will pay a total of €8.4 million to make the deal permanent, with Roma also being entitled to 20% of the fee from any future sale.
