Chelsea are the main club to have shown interest in Roma attacker Paulo Dybala over the course of recent weeks.

Much has been said about the Blues inquiring for the Argentine forward given his recent release clause becoming active at the start of the new year.

However, Dybala’s latest injury may have gotten in the way of Chelsea’s plans – the ex-Juve man is likely to miss an extended period of time after picking up another muscle injury in Roma’s defeat to Lazio on Wednesday night.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, contacts between the English club and the intermediaries overseeing Dybala’s interests in the negotiation are constant and probably without yesterday’s injury the parties would have continued to talk.

For the time being, Chelsea seem to have postponed their interest until the end of the season, when Dybala will only have one more year left on his deal with the Giallorossi.
