Chelsea are reportedly targeting Roma star attacker Paulo Dybala as the January transfer window is well under-way.

The Blues are said to be looking to further strengthen their attack and their interest in Dybala is well noted, dating back to well over a year ago.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Chelsea want to make use of Dybala’s release clause which is now active and can be triggered by submitting €12 million (the fee valid for foreign clubs).

In the case of the asking price being met, Dybala would have the final say in the matter.

Chelsea, however, have only a limited time to meet the Argentine’s release clause as it expires on 15 January.

In the meantime, Roma are planning their long-term future including the possibility of renewing Paulo Dybala’s deal which is presently valid until 2025.
