Roma want to secure the services of Nicola Zalewski for years to come given the attention the Polish international has managed to draw on himself over the past year.
After emerging as a reliable starter in the absence of Leonardo Spinazzola, several top European clubs began to make inquiries for the ex-Primavera player.
According to La Repubblica, the team that is most interested in the 20-year-old is Chelsea. The Blues are particularly serious about pursuing Zalewski in the near future and have initiated contact with the club and player’s entourage in recent weeks.
However, Roma do not intend to rid themselves of the young homegrown talent. The Giallorossi are in fact engaged in talks to further extend Zalewski’s contract until 2027 with a considerable salary bump as the player still earns minor wages compared to other members of the team.
