Chris Smalling asks to reflect on Roma’s long-term offer

Roma are eagerly awaiting a response from Chris Smalling with regards to his contractual situation.

The player is on his way to become a free agent in June unless he decides to opt for a long-term deal with the Giallorossi.

Roma have advanced a proposal with slightly lower earnings than his current ones, for a total of €5 million across two years.

According to Sky Sport, the player’s agent – James Featherstone – met with Roma and reiterated his client’s demands which at the moment are still higher than what the club are willing to offer.

In the meantime, Smalling is asking for enough time to reflect on his situation as the Englishman continues to be targeted by other clubs including Inter and Juventus.
