English defender Chris Smalling is being linked with a January exit from Roma as his prolonged absence has caused the club to include him on their transfer list.
According to Il Messaggero, Smalling’s reluctance to return to the training grounds and – prior to that – to undergo surgery on his injured knee is the reason as to why Roma are now trying to find him a new club to join.
The newspaper suggests Saudi Arabia might be a potential destination for the veteran centreback after he drew interest from the Suadi Pro League earlier last summer.
