Chris Smalling will not be available for tomorrow’s match with Napoli.

The English defender continues to struggle this season while being plagued with injuries.

This time around, the veteran centreback was unable to conclude his appearance in the recent outing with Udinese.

During the match, Smalling was forced to come off shortly before full-time.

Earlier today, Sky Sport reports that the player was diagnosed with a muscle injury to his right abductor and has been ruled out for Sunday’s fixture with Napoli at the Diego Maradona Stadium.

It remains unclear when Smalling will be back from injury.
