Roma centreback Chris Smalling is reportedly growing more convinced of Roma’s latest proposal for a new long-term deal.
As reported by Filippo Biafora of il Tempo, Roma recently upped their bid for a new two-year contract for the ex-Man United defender.
Smalling and his entourage are evaluating this proposal, but the offer seems to be deemed good enough as it is in line with the player’s demands. As a result, the capital club are increasingly optimistic Smalling will accept to extend his stay in the Italian capital.
Earlier reports suggested the new contract will be worth around €3.5 million per season.
