Roma defender Chris Smalling continues to prove his importance in José Mourinho’s roster as the season winds to an end.
The Englishman, since making full recovery from an injury early on in the season, has made 20 starts in 24 league appearances thus far.
His performances have hugely helped lift Roma out of a mid-season slump and carry them through their current unbeaten run in Serie A.
According to Kickest, the 32-year-old is the defender with most duels won in the Italian league this year: Smalling has reportedly won 77.4% of his duels.
