Chris Smalling will not be available for the upcoming match with Napoli.
The English defender recently featured in Roma’s 2-1 win over Udinese.
However, Smalling was unable to conclude the match due to a groin injury suffered around the 88th minute.
The issue does not seem serious, but the player did not participate in today’s training session.
Thus, he remains unlikely to play in Sunday’s fixture against Napoli at the Stadio Diego Maradona.
According to Il Tempo, De Rossi will not risk the veteran centreback, and instead will choose to rely on Dean Huijsen.
