English defender Chris Smalling has agreed to renew his contract with Roma.
After months of meetings and negotiations, the capital club and Smalling’s agent are finalizing a new deal for the veteran centreback.
As reported by Filippo Biafora of il Tempo, Smalling has already given his approval for the new contract to be drawn up with the end date of 2025.
Roma’s latest proposal convinced Smalling to extend his stay at the club which welcomed him in 2019.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the player is planning to retire with the Giallorossi once his new contract will come to an end at the age of 36.
