Roma defender Chris Smalling shared an update regarding his new deal with the capital club.
“Today the match is all that matters, but we are very close, I’m sure there will be news about it soon,” he told Sky Sport.
Shortly before tonight’s kick-off with Feyenoord at the Stadio Olimpico, the English centreback discussed the team’s attitude as they aim to overturn a 1-0 disadvantage.
“We know what to expect after the first leg, both last year and this year we found ourselves in a similar situation and we know how to turn it around.”
