Chris Smalling tempted by Juventus and Inter’s approach

Andy Mattioli

With free agency edging closer with each month, Roma are aiming to extend Chris Smalling’s contract.

The Englishman is currently set to become a free agent in June unless he chooses to renew his stay in the Italian capital.

According to Il Messaggero, the Giallorossi have made offer to Smalling’s entourage for a two-year deal.

The club, however, are still waiting on the player’s response: this month should be key in determining Smalling’s future in the Italian capital as the veteran centreback continues to draw interest from other clubs ahead of free agency. The newspaper reports that Smalling is seriously tempted by the interest manifested by Juventus and Inter in recent weeks.
