RomaPress – Chris Smalling is ready to begin his Roma adventure…again, but this time, his stay will not be temporary in the Italian capital.

The Englishman touched down at Ciampino Airport early this evening to finalise his permanent transfer to the Giallorossi, where he spent last season on loan.

Smalling was greeted by roughly 40 outside the airport terminal as he awaits to undergo his medical examinations before signing his 3-year contract with the Giallorossi.

Roma were able to finally find an agreement with Manchester United on a permanent deal for the 30 year-old defender — ending the nearly 10-month long negotiation between the two clubs.
