Chris Smalling unconvinced by Roma’s renewal offer

Chris Smalling is yet to make up his mind with regards to his own future as the player edges closer to becoming a free agent in June.

The Englishman is in fact hesitant to extend his stay with the Giallorossi on Roma’s terms given that the club’s offer for a renewal is based on lower wages than his present ones.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Smalling has yet to give an answer to Roma, who in turn want to keep him for the next two years. Both sides want the same thing. However, Smalling is intent on having his salary demands realized – by Roma, or any other team willing to meet them.
