Roma defender Chris Smalling is expected to remain out with injury at least until the end of the month.
The centreback’s physical issues – which entail a chronic case of tendinitis – have caused him to miss over a month of action.
As reported by Leggo, the initial prognosis predicted his return for the match against Monza after the international break. However, the club’s medical staff have preferred to postpone his return to Mourinho’s disposal.
Mourinho and his staff want to make sure Smalling has fully recovered before including him in the team’s squad list.
Now, Smalling’s return could take place in early November, ahead of the Derby della Capitale.
